The March meeting had to be cancelled, but we have rescheduled it for Thursday, April 13th from 6-8pm.

We will be back at Felix and Oscars in the same meeting room we were in for the February meeting. Paul Nolte will be speaking about protecting your investments!

Topics that will be covered include:

1) Do you have adequate coverage for storms?

  • Is there a difference between wind events such as derechos vs tornadoes?
  • What happens with a collapsed roof due to snow?
  • Why is flood insurance different than regular insurance and more expensive?

2) What do you need to know in terms of contractors?

  • Damage to structure
  • Injury to individuals who may be working on site
  • Other individuals visiting the site
3) Is there a type of insurance to cover complaints of discrimination?

4) What if you have more than one detached structure on a property?

5) How is policy coverage developed for multiple properties at different locations?

  • Is there a policy for each property?
  • Can a policy for several properties be written?
  • What are the advantages/disadvantages of each?

6) Are there differences in policies depending on the type of property?

  • Single-family
  • Multi-family
  • Condo/townhome

7) What are the advantages of umbrella policies?
